The department of Zoology were Established in the June 1992 for the purpose of to provide the degree educations to the students. The opener faculty of the department are Dr. R. J. Chavan and Dr. M. B. Tat. Beside the degree education in the subject of Zoology the UGC sponsored Career Oriented Program in Apiculture were introduced during the academic year 2009-2010 for next five years. All the faculty members including former and present were actively engaged in the field of research. All they have obtained Doctoral degree. Late Dr. M. B. Tat was Research Guide of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad. The five students were awarded Ph.D. degree under his able guidance. The two UGC sponsored Minor Research Projects were completed by the faculty and one ongoing MRP sponsored by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad. Dr. A. D. Lakhe Head Department of Zoology is Research Guide of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad. Six candidates were registered for Ph.D. degree under his able guidance which are under final Ph.D. admission process of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad. More than 40 research articles and three Books were published by the former and present faculty.
